University of Pennsylvania Club Badminton is a student-run competitive team that represents Penn at tournaments and collegiate matches throughout the year. Tryouts are required to join, and we welcome both undergraduate and graduate students.

Just want to play casually? Penn Campus Recreation hosts open play. Join the Open Play GroupMe to connect with other recreational players.

Tryouts for the competitive team are held at the beginning of each semester.

Competitive Team Practice

Regular practices help us prepare for collegiate competitions while building team chemistry and improving our skills. Sessions include drills, match play, and conditioning.

  • Penn Badminton is moving from Weightman Hall to Pottruck.
  • Club Badminton is no longer hosting open play. Penn Campus Recreation will host it instead, and we will pass along details as soon as Campus Recreation shares them.
  • Fall 2026 tryouts are TBD. Sign-up information will be posted in the next few weeks.
